BOSSI Examination OutcomesResults from the Board Examinations for Land Surveying are provided in the table below.As a result of all examinations conducted in 2022, 19 land surveying candidates have earned their Certificate of Competency. The event will celebrate all 2022 Certificate of Competency recipients, annual examination award winners and the presentation of Meritorious certificates. Invitations will be issued in early 2023.BOSSI Strategic Plan 2023-2026+Following consultation with stakeholders and industry associations, the Board has developed and endorsed the BOSSI Strategic Plan 2023-2026+ (pictured below). A high-resolution pdf version can be accessed from the BOSSI website.Automatic Mutual Recognition (AMR) updateFrom 1 December 2022, changes to the Mutual Recognition Act 1992 will commence in NSW and land surveyors registered (or licensed) in other participating jurisdictions will be able to practice land surveying in NSW under Automatic Mutual Recognition (AMR). Thank you to Gavin Watson-Young Surveyor AdvisorGavin Watson has recently completed his 3-year term as a young surveyor advisor to BOSSI. As a dual registered land and mining surveyor Gavin brought a unique perspective to the Board and made significant contributions to BOSSI activities including the land and mining committee, training committee and the Kurri Kurri workshop. Expression of Interest - Young Surveyor AdvisorWith the completion of Gavin’s term, we have a unique opportunity for a recently (within the past 5 years) registered surveyor under the age of 36 to become our next young surveyor advisor. The role will allow the successful incumbent to advocate on behalf of young surveyors, influence the strategic direction of BOSSI and be involved with decision making. Commitments include participating in 6 board meetings a year (mixture of Teams and face-to-face), attending the annual Kurri Kurri workshop and contributing to the training committee. Applications need to include a copy of your resume with a 1 page cover letter detailing the relevant skills and experience you bring to the Board and outline your vision for the future of the profession.
